Are Rat Ogres with a Master Moulder good?
Rat Ogres with a Master Moulder are very dangerous on the charge and fragile off it. They won all 10 charges into Jade Warriors in my tests, but lost every fight when Gors charged them.

Their job is to charge first and hit hard. I would keep them out of drawn-out grinds against ranked units, where they lose on Combat Result.
How many simulations I ran
I ran 70 complete combats with Rat Ogres with a Master Moulder, each fought through break tests and pursuit to the end: 40 with them charging and 30 with the enemy charging. These were the results.
These Rat Ogres numbers are not the whole story, because my dice roll on an empty table without terrain, spells, characters or a real player on the other side. One lucky break test can move a result by a whole fight, so the Rat Ogres’ result against charging Knights of the Realm (6/20) could easily have come out one either way. They show the right place for Rat Ogres in a list; your dice on the night are another matter.

What I think Rat Ogres are good at
- They were strong into Jade Warriors and respectable into Ironbreakers and other monsters.
- Three wounds per Ogre make them durable in a way one-wound elites are not.
- I would charge them into targets where raw wounds and S5 attacks can overwhelm the enemy.
Watch out
They have poor static Combat Result and no Swiftstride. They can do plenty of damage, lose the combat anyway, then fail to catch the retreating enemy.

My conclusion
Based on these results, I would use Rat Ogres with a Master Moulder for charging first into targets they can overwhelm, and not for long grinds against ranked units or receiving charges, to get the most out of them on the battlefield.
